Empire Builder Consist Question?

I have been trying to create a QD consist with the Empire builder and also I just saved a pre made Consist from a scenario where when you hit the 5 key you are put inside the observation car. But no matter what I do I can not get it to work for me in a free roam scenario or in a QD Scenario. I always get put outside. Can someone please tell me how to accomplish this?

Control key and at the same time right or left arrow key.

I know how to get to it I just want to know how I can get it to start there like in the Scenario Over the Devide or in the workshop scenario GN Empire Builder, Pt. 1 [GWD115]

Well very strange but it works just fine as long as you have at least 2 a units back to back and it has to be on the marias pass
