NEC Route - Penn Station

Unread postby LGM118 » Mon Jul 22, 2013 1:11 pm

I'm currently working on a scenario for running a Northeast Regional from New York Penn down to Philadelphia (I haven't found a good southbound scenario on Steam for the full length route), but I can't seem to place trains inside of Penn Station itself - Train Sim considers it to be a tunnel, from what I understand. Barring placing the train in the tunnels east of Penn Station or creating some contrived situation where you turn the train around inside Penn Station (lead in from the west, then run the locomotive around to the other end, which rarely if ever happens because it's more efficient to just send trains out to the balloon track at Sunnyside Yard), is there a way to place trains inside the station?

I remember this has been discussed many times. I know there is a solution.

If you haven't yet figured it out, I believe you just have to put the camera below the ground and tracks. Then, you can place any stock above you. Once it's on the tracks, you can do all the normal things you want.
