Uploading to Steam--- Error???

Unread postby dogrokket » Mon Jul 08, 2013 2:47 pm

I just finished a scenario to upload to Steam and I get an error saying that I have user or 3rd party content from the "Colton and Northern". I have never heard of this route, and I don't recall using any third party items. This seems to have gone around before, so are there any other new solutions that we know of???

Us RW Tools to list all scenery items used in the scenario.
Or follow the guidance from Bob Latimer's tutorial here:

Chacal, thanks for the quick response. I performed your recommended steps with RW Tools. My heart rate boosted when I edited the xml file, but there were no problems. I managed to get rid of the mystery route, but the scenario will not upload due to third party content. I figured out the problem. I created another Marias Pass scenario and it would upload. Then I added the GTrax Berkshire steam loco. It would not upload. Apparently, Steam does not recognize its own DLC as DLC! I guess I pulled out alot of hair for nothing. !*hp*!

Why it doesn't recognize the NP Berkshire seems to be a Steam problem. Thanks anyway...

To RSC it make no difference what was purchased previous to Sept 2012. If you are trying to up load to the workshop
anything that is not on the current DLC list is considered third party content. Try uploading your scenario here at RWA
or a Train Sim. We don't care if there is third party content. In fact, we encourage it.

What do I need to do to upload the scenario on RWA? I see that .rwp files aren't accepted. Do I just upload the scenario xml file with a readme, etc? Not playing dumb here... am dumb...

I finally got in touch with Railsim support and they rectified the problem... The Berk release was not recognized as DLC.

I just purchased the SP&S E-1 Northern Loco DLC during the sale. I still am unable to run any Workshop scenarios that call out a SP&S Northern in the required DLC listing. It shows a Red X not a Green Check.

I sent an email to RSC Tech Support but have not heard a responce.

My NKP S-2 Berkshire that I purchased before last year's October Surprise TS2012 to TS2013 upgrade has never been recognized in any Workshop scenarios.

I vaguely remember that Rick Grout posted a patch on the G_TraX website that would allow his, at one time 3rd Party, Berkshire, Northern and GS-4 locomotives be recognized by RSC after they were added to the Steam Store as DLC. The patch never worked for me and when the Berk and Northern were recently reposted on Steam Store, I thought that my problems would be solved. But No Joy. RW still refuses to recognize my old G-TraX Locomotive assets as available. And the Steam Store tells me I already own these assets.
