Adding a Station

Unread postby BlueLight » Sat Aug 18, 2012 6:59 pm

I am trying to add a station to the Donner Pass Route. So far I have been able to place the station building, and place the platform (small generic). From the World editor I have place the platform marker. I have a train that is timetabled to pick up passengers at this stop. However, everytime I stop at this location, It will not pick up the passengers. I have extend the platform marker so it includes 50% of the train, and still it won't pick up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Are you placing a passenger generating platform. The platform needs to spawn passengers. do you see people on the platform moving?

No. How do I get it to spawn passengers?

Only certain ones spawn. Try using the invisible platforms

If you go to UKTrainSim.com and click on download search, then enter 26169 in the fileID box you will get a pdf file for installing platforms. Very handy to have and may help you out.

I went to the site, and registerd. Then spent 3 hours waiting for the download. When it was my turn the download never materialized. I know they want paid subscriptions, and I do not feel like parting with the cash for just a one time use. I have looked at the actual timetable for that year and my station is considered a flag stop. So, a flag stop it is and I will bypass it. Thank you for the information, and I still would like to know how to add stations for the future. Is there any place else where that information might be obtained?
