Unfamiliar Timetable Editor messages

Unread postby OldProf » Sat Apr 14, 2012 1:44 pm

While working on a new freight shunting scenario for RSC's Settle to Carlisle route, I've encountered some unfamiliar warning messages in the Timetable Editor. These appear when I click the triangular warning icon at the bottom of the editor:

"Consist for consist op contains excess elements"

"Target consist for consist op incomplete, missing: (several wagon numbers follow)"

So far, neither situation has caused errors or problems while driving the scenario.

I'd appreciate hearing from other scenario writers who have seen these messages and have figured out their meaning (SWAGs acceptable).
When, oh, when will RSC ever provide an up-to-date manual for this editor?

Since a long time I don't loose time checking the triangle messages once they are just warnings and don't cause scenarios errors or problems.

"Consist for consist op contains excess elements"

Usually applies to an AI train having to many instructions

"Target consist for consist op incomplete, missing: (several wagon numbers follow)"

There was an issue with a consist that maybe you deleted and have not refreshed the editor yet.
