Single mainline scenario with reversing.

Discussion about RailWorks scenario creation.

Single mainline scenario with reversing.

Good Morning,
I have been studying the scenario editor and actually made two standard scenarios for the Montour route. I am working on my third scenario but having problems. The Montour was a single non electrified mainline with several branch lines to coal mines. What my plans are is start at Groveton yard picking up empty hoppers, pull those hoppers to a Westland coal mine 20 miles away, drop off the empty hoppers at the empties track, then pick up 44 loaded hoppers at the loads tracks and pull them back down the branch and mainline I just came from back to Champion Coal prep plant yard as my final destination. The route does not have markers so in the scenario editor I have been using siding markers and destination markers to set the path points and siding markers used for pick up or drop off points. This have had done for my first two scenarios and everything worked fine. Now where I ran into trouble the time table editor once I get a few miles past (passing the destination on a different track)destination while I was adding the markers to the time table everything showed red !!!!!! and there was a error symbol. I clicked on the error symbol and said that I either ran out of electrified rail or a reversing movement cannot be used. but I did not get to my intermediate goal of Westland mine where my direction will reverse.
Simply made, Can a scenario be made going from point "A" to point "B" then back to point "A" on the same single track mainline?

Thanks and any help is appreciated,

I get this when I try to make 2 ppickups in a row from a yard. Like 30 cars on one track and 30 on another. After I get the first 30 I can not set up an instruction to get the second 30, I get the rror you described. What I have to do is make a stop command out in front of the train that is as far away as the train with the first 30 cars is long. I force the dispatcher to send me out away from the yard, then I can reverse back in to get the second string. So if the train has 30 cars, I place them on the route and put the stop at out in front of my sample string to measure the distance needed. This works about 95% of the time. The other 5% makes me pull my hair out.
