G.A.R.L

Discussion about RailWorks scenario creation.

G.A.R.L

Unread postby Mark » Sun Feb 13, 2011 2:03 pm

Having looked through the site I see a few names I recognise from other forums,
I know this is Railworks America, but was wondering if any of the user shere have the G.A.R.L route that was released some time ago ,

I currently create scenarios for this route as it is the easiest to create on for me being such a short route, and travelling the route for years I know the outlay of it with where the stations come in what order etc. Other routes I could have a train pass a station to run back up the line to get to another as I don't know the layout too well, but time will help with this and I can half figure out the track layouts

What I would like to know is if anyone would like me to upload the scenarios for said route here aswell or just leave it . I am not sure what peoples thoughts would be with it being Railworks America (the neame of the forum tells me its all american stuff but I have noticed other posts regarding other UK routes thats why I am asking)

All ym scenarios use default stock that is delivered with the route and the default locos from Railworks.

In a couple of weeks I will be making progress on other routes and do scenarios for them but unfortunately a lot of stuff will be payware. but if interest is high enough I can manage to create some scenarios using default stock only

Notice on the main page of the web site, it says:

The primary goal of this site is to offer a positive environment for the development of North American content for RailWorks (although content from outside of North America is quite welcomed also), ...

Hello Mark.

Do you mean the Glasgow Airport Rail Link? If yes, keep em coming. !*brav*!
I really like the GARL although it has not much scenery, but high speed commuter service is something that really interests me. !!*ok*!!

About those other scenarios: It would be nice if you could also make some US scenarios if possible cause there are almost no people who design and distribute scenarios for US routes.

Yes that would be the route I mean . I agree with you about it not having much scenery, but the upside is as you said the high speed commuters ( I managed to get my Class 380 to full speed, not a good idea on the approach into Glasgow though and I derailed quicker than I could blink *!rolleyes!*

I am sure I only have the 2 default routes that Railworks supplied me with , and I have a problem as I am not too sure about the layout of services/freight in America (being Scottish limits my knowledge of most things *!!wink!!* )
I will look at the routes and see what I can come up with over the next couple of days .
My scenarios are short, but they leave plenty of room for scope. Time to stretch to other routes I think
