loco cold start

Unread postby Matchstick101 » Mon Feb 01, 2016 9:25 am

So I have been working on a scenario for a bit and want to add a cold start at the beginning of the scenario. I know it can be done as I have tried other scenarios that require you to start up the loco but how is this done? Is it built into the loco model or some type of script?

Some locos (VRC GP40 & U30, Reppo GP20) have a script built in to the model that they require a full startup when the scenario begins.

As far as adding that to a different model, I'm not sure of the process. Perhaps ask 'JerryC' on here; he builds the VRC locos.

Have you, by any chance, tried looking at the user manuals? !DUH!

Jerry and I designed the models to be able to do a cold start. It's not something that can be applied to other models.

ah ok thanks for the info. It's a little disappointing that its built into the loco but maybe i'll pick up a few that have the cold start later on.

Reppo's loco can be started with a cold start also.
