Where are reverse points in the editor?

Unread postby xcrosswitch » Sat May 25, 2013 5:58 am

I have searched all over trying to find out how to select and place reverse points in the scenario editor. Could someone fill me in on were they are located?
Many thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "reverse points". Are you thinking of track markers?

Reverse points that change the direction of a switch behind your train that you've just crossed over. I hope that makes sense. I'm not sure whether its a physical marker you place on the track or whether it (the reverse point) is added by the 'drop off' instruction.

When I need a reverse point I drop a destination marker and call it reverse point.

I'll give that a try and see how I go. Thanks for that.

I don't think there's any such thing in RW.
When a switch is thrown behind your train, it is thrown by the dispatcher so that you can get to your next destination.
So you put a destination marker at the place you want to stop afterthe switch (call it a reverse point if you want),
and you put another destination marker where you want to go next.
The dispatcher will throw the switch for you if it's a CTC switch, but not if it's a manual switch.

Okay, I think I get the picture. The maneuver I'm trying to achieve is a manual switch so I will manually switch for the move.
