Cannot select/move/delete human figures in Scenario editors

Unread postby awaken1977 » Tue Apr 14, 2020 10:33 am

I placed workers in the scenario, to imitate track maintenance crew.
But there's no way to select / move them, once the object is placed on the ground. For objects like cars or trucks it works, but for people figures doesn't

I have had the same issue. Difficult or impossible to highlight them and maneuver, replace, or delete them.

I do not really know what asset, just added from the dropdown.

!*roll-laugh*! That one got me Miner.

To the OP; you can remove all instances of each person/model placed in the scenario, in that scenario's bin/xml file if you absolutely have to. You have to be pretty careful about the exact lines you remove though, otherwise it can cause other issues with the scenario.

I found the way how to use or delete them.

I can only select human on the ground. It's probably impossible to select, if the figure is over the platrofm, or other raised surface object.
First, I position human on the ground, somewhere aside , where it doesn't intersects with route objects. Then I select it with circling mouse motion arount the feet, and move to the desired position.

Not sure, if railroad workers dress like this, but these people add more life to the scenarios

If you want to delete ALL objects, it's easy - delete all Scenery subfolder inside scenario folder (it contains objects placed on the map tiles)
ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Content\Routes\e4b664ba-f317-42b2-bec3-c3572d8d3440\Scenarios\5f5c90eb-7d63-40c5-9fb1-38df5a37ff64\Scenery
