Bedford Junction Branch coming from High Iron Simulations

Coming Soon: The Bedford Junction Branch for Train Simulator!

The Bedford Junction Branch is a Train Simulator route of ~30 route miles created by High Iron Simulations to represent a typical U. S. Midwestern line as might be found in southern Indiana or southern Illinois. It re-creates a rural region that features granger, industrial, quarry, and coal elements set amid farmland and rolling countryside.

While the route is most representative of a Norfolk Southern secondary line, it can as easily represent other railroads of the area, including CSX, Southern, Chessie, Seaboard System, or Illinois Central.

The Bedford Junction Branch will be a free route published to Steam Workshop. For assets, it will require the Norfolk Southern Coal District and the D&RGW Soldier Summit route. High Iron Simulations will provide a variety of Steam Workshop free scenarios to accompany the route.

Stay tuned here for further information, advance screenshots, and announcements!

Looks good, could be just the job for Harry Adkins and his Frisco post.

Hi Gary,

After reading mindenjohn's post above, I just realized that your route could host a great number of railroads through several eras and I'm sure most of them will look right at home. My initial thought when first seeing your screenshots was something like "hey, now that looks like a nice place to run some NH on."

Ah, the joys of freelanced train sim routes. !!*ok*!!

Cheers

Hi Michael!

Yes, exactly! Although the route will be perhaps most representative of a southern Indiana/southern Illinois line, it can nicely host a wide range of midwestern, southern, and eastern roads' equipment. A few more screenshots here, including one where the line indeed takes on an alternative form (other than NS) with some lovely B&O equipment. :D

Regards, Gary

The Bedford Junction branch route is indeed available now at Steam Workshop:

As soon as the route has received the required number of "votes," we will finalize it and begin to post a range of scenarios for this route. Enjoy!
