Congrats you got in early hours.
My country steam page still shows 2018 version.

My biggest mistake about this program and thought that I got the program of Train Simulator 2019 was updated from Train Simulator 2018 but it's NOT. I have no idea what is the big update last night around midnight. It took about over one hour or more to update. I left my desktop on to finish the update through Steam. How do I find what is the update for this program of Train Simulator 2018 from late last night. Sorry for the jump into this. Guess will have to wait for sometime today more likely this afternoon or later.

So meaning this is not a TS2019 update then?For others who have TS2018?

Yes there will be a launch of Train Simulator 2019 but depend where you live? I read the message over another forum and someone from the British mentioned that the time will be launch through Steam between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. in British Summer Time so my time here is EST and more likely around 1 p.m. today.

Precisely at 1900 hours here Steam started its 1.1 GB download of TS 2019 I suppose.

I have read that some players have had some .ap files refreshed beforehand.
On my game, some routes were updated to TS2019: Mannheim to Karlsruhe and Provo to Helper. These are the new default TS2019 routes.

No sign of any 64 bits core files right now, perhaps the upgrade is a two stage process?

Indeed it is, on a Steam restart now a 95.3 MB download is in progress and now the 64 bit files have arrived:
Railworks64.exe, GameManager64.dll, and probably some other bits and bobs.

32 bits is at v65.6f and promptly crashed on some Visual C error and freezes the whole computer
64 bits won't start at all

Got mine few minutes ago and no problem at all but thought to share with you who lives outside U.S. You have to copy/paste the System.ap for Raton Pass Assets that Buzz put out here with his message. I was surprised to see that the logos on the locomotives are disappeared after the update then I have to go back to find the ap file to replace the one that is smaller than Buzz have.

Yep. Similar experience here.

64-bit doesn't run at all and 32-bit crashes to desktop with a DLL error. The separate instructions for choosing between 32-bit and 64-bit mode don't work because the necessary *.bat file is missing.

Got my 2019 now. Ran fine in 64-bit for editing my route. I had to create my own shortcut to the 64bit exe. Also had to remember to go into NVIDIA control panel and make sure the game was using my 1060 card, as my laptop appeared to be using the onboard graphics.

Maybe it's my imagination but the route seemed to load faster than with 32-bit.

No new distros in the Install folder either, and I've searched all the new files dated Oct 11

Thanks, bnsfsubdivision. I followed those instructions, but see no bat file. Oh well ... The editor works, that's all I care about at this time.

Any minor problems with the new install will be worked out. DTG has a great track record as far as I'm concerned. I'm very very pleased to get 64-bit for free.

Want to say thank you to you for posting your message above. But I still couldn't find the bat file but see one and did not do till if that is the one or not. Anyway I found the bat file and it's called luac.bat which I got mine in the folder which show on 2018-08-01. Is that the file you are talking about or different.
