There's usually some minor bug fixes with each yearly update. The graphical settings are going to be the new thing, and how that impacts overall performance if at all is speculation at this point.

It is my understanding that the shaders will be able to be toggled on or off. *!greengrin!*

In any event if they are off or on it shouldn't affect fps. Shadows and procedural flora and things like that affect fps.
