This is something that has only recently shown up, and I do not know why. I have all the graphics settings on Highest, so how to fix it is baffling, to say the least.
Is it possible that Sherman Hill is in some way corrupt?

It would be helpful if you could show us a screenshot however it sounds like that's what it is. You don't need to run a complete cache verify just uninstall the route and the re-install it. If you need more detailed instructions holler.

Are the distant mountains white, or is it all of the ground terrain?

Buzz456.
I have uninstalled and re-installed and no change. Never known how to do screenshots.
BoostedFridge.
The white is on the distant mountains, but it is not snow(at least it doesn't look like snow).

Go into your graphics settings inside Train Simulator and make sure that "Dynamic Lighting" is turned on. This will fix it.

Thank you so much; never imagined that would be the reason.
