Hello. I'm new in Railworks America, but being italian and being also the author of the Torino-Bardonecchia that was mentioned here, I decided to jump in the discussion maybe to support the fan of italian railroads as much as I can. I apologize in advance if my english is not perfect...
I confirm that the Rimessa Ferroviaria website is in a sort of closed status. Other than Amicitreni.net already mentioned, you can find something also on
www.rotabili-italiani.org, small community of passionate people and that allow download without registration. Other than myself, there are other route creator, for example the one you already mentioned regarding the Sicily route.
I can also suggest my site,
www.codadeltreno.com, for what is related to the route Torino - Bardonecchia already published, the extension called SFM Torino, that cover all the Turin area railroad system that is a WIP, and all the asset I create for my route. English version is also available. Website is not obviously a professional website, but more a "blog/container" of some news, project and movie/picture related to rail sim.
Other interesting webiste you can find in the resource section of this site.
I'm happy to being accepted in this big forum...
