Seeking downloads from discontinued site

For reasons that I cannot explain, I've returned to a former interest in Italian DLC for TS20xx, but have discovered that some particularly valuable download providers have vanished: in particular http://www.larimessaferroviaria.net/ . If any RWA members have rolling stock packs downloaded from that site, I'd really appreciate your sharing them with me. One example is the FS D 145 1007, but there are many others. Thanks!

If my Italian is correct, it says " site under maintenance ", but I think the owners have left the scene. As is the case with lots of authors from France, Denmark, etc. that started with RW2 conversions of their MSTS models, but never advanced beyond that phase.

No Internet Wayback machines hold that site anymore? When the downloads were hosted on those external download sites like Mediafire, they might have survived and can still be grabbed?

Italian is my second language, my family comes from there but I do not speak it much anymore. It does say "Site currently closed for maintenance try again later" But I honestly do not know if it will go back up. Try internet archives like the wayback machine Kanawah mentioned.

Thanks for the suggestions. I couldn't find anything on Internet Wayback and, yes, the rimessaferroviaria site does say that it's under maintenance, but it's said that for more than a few years. Ah, well, sic transit gloria mundi. Perhaps someone has old downloads from the site?

Not sure if this is of any help, but this shows what seems to be the home page or at least at my end. From 17/03/14

This archive leads to the original download page. Unfortunately, downloads were restricted to registered users only. So no open links remain.
The needed file is fs_d145_1007.rar and can be found on torrent sites. I don't know if you want to go there ....

And the Old Prof says, "So close and yet so far away". I gave Sar704's link a try and up popped a few pages from the La Rimessa. I used to have a login there, but long before I began using Roboform, so it's lost. Even if I could remember it, and in those days I often used a sort of dangerously habitual logon for most sites, I doubt that it would get me anywhere. The search by category page displays this dire message at its bottom:" Nessun file ancora disponibile per la categoria!": "No files available yet in this category!" So the bits and pieces of the Rimessa still retrievable do not include the files, evidently. I'll just keep hoping that someone out there has that file on file.

Meanwhile, I've managed to track down or find reasonable substitutes for almost every other download required to run the scenarios included in or available forthe Torino - Bardonecchia route, most of which are straightforward passenger or long-haul freight runs. The route includes several large yard areas, such as the immense ones at Orbassano and Torino Porta Nuova and Lingotto, so I should be able to put together some worthwhile smistimento (switching) scenarios of my own.

By the way, the specific pieces of rolling stock I'm still looking for are ALn668 GTT\Addon\RailVehicles\Electric\FS ALe724 Treno14\Engine\ALe724Motrice, ALn668 GTT\Addon\RailVehicles\Electric\FS ALe724 Treno14\Engine\Le884Rimorchiata, and ALn668 GTT\Addon\RailVehicles\Electric\FS ALe724 Treno14\Engine\Le724Rimorchiata. "Rimorchiata" means "towed", for what that's worth.

Send me a PM with your email address on Tom, and I'll send the files across to you, the package size is about 90mbs.

Cheerz. Steve.

Many thanks to Ed and Steve.

And here's some advice for anyone else who gets the urge to drive Italian trains in RS: Above all, keep in mind that you'll run into several vanished download sites along the way: in addition to Larimessaferroviaria and RailSim.it, there's a route located in Sicily that requires the Sz 813 engine from http://www.rw-slovenia.com along with several others. Obviously, most of the available Italian routes and scenarios were created when all of these now expired sites were alive and well. If any member of this forum has such files available, making them available through a still extant site or forum would be much appreciated.

I believe the RWSlovenia locomotives, I'm sure there were 2 of them, are on this Italian Railsim website called simtreni.net, Tom, someone uploaded these locomotives for the community to play with as the Italian developer ALN668 did the cab interior textures for them, and so forth, and didn't want to lose the assets completely, especially, when they are used on Italian route scenarios.

It's a rar file about 85mbs, compressed, so, I''m sure these are what folks want, although, I haven't personally played with them for about 18 month's, or, so.

That's a great find, Steve -- thanks. What a great detective you are: I thought I'd searched simtreni.net already, but I sure missed that download. I've been using RW_Tools to swap some vanished rolling stock for similar items I've been able to track down. This works in some cases, but in others the reworked scenario just sends TS to the desktop before it even opens. Am I having fun now?

Hello. I'm new in Railworks America, but being italian and being also the author of the Torino-Bardonecchia that was mentioned here, I decided to jump in the discussion maybe to support the fan of italian railroads as much as I can. I apologize in advance if my english is not perfect...

I confirm that the Rimessa Ferroviaria website is in a sort of closed status. Other than Amicitreni.net already mentioned, you can find something also on www.rotabili-italiani.org, small community of passionate people and that allow download without registration. Other than myself, there are other route creator, for example the one you already mentioned regarding the Sicily route.

I can also suggest my site, www.codadeltreno.com, for what is related to the route Torino - Bardonecchia already published, the extension called SFM Torino, that cover all the Turin area railroad system that is a WIP, and all the asset I create for my route. English version is also available. Website is not obviously a professional website, but more a "blog/container" of some news, project and movie/picture related to rail sim.

Other interesting webiste you can find in the resource section of this site.

I'm happy to being accepted in this big forum...

Mille grazie, Andrea. Per ora, ho messo una pietra sopra le mie ricerche italiane a causa di frustrazione generale. Però, quella pietra è piccola.
