Creating Scenarios in Train Sim World

Unread postby harmsway » Fri Jan 05, 2018 8:38 pm

This video explains how to save games in TSW but best of all it is a work-a-round for creating scenarios. These scenarios are easily shared with others.

Funny thing is I can do this but I can't get video to show in this forum.

The scenario created in this video is available for download. http://www.eharm.net/shop/freeware/NBPR_Readme.zip

Nice video Gene, I think I understand the jest of how this works, so I am going to try it and produce a scenario, thanks.

Ok, here's my first attempt, see what you think. It took me about an hour and a half to create. There are some services running within the scenario which kind of adds to the ambiance and its not using the starting service locomotives, so bare with the quirks.

Oh, I like it. Nice work. I was thinking about my use of the LastPlayed copy, in your case, TSWSaveGame_North Branch Yard - Start.sav. As long as we keep the original folder with the Profile and the LastPlayed intact we don't really need to keep the backup "Start" file. It just a matter of how we want to restore back to the scenario start position.

You should post this to the Scenario & Services Forum. Also can we submit these to the File Library?

We have no category even set up in the library at this time. I think that this is a little early, experimental, and possibly unauthorized thing right now. While I encourage you folks to work on this as of now you are dealing with a really small audience. I don't even have this game on my computer any more to save disk space. Let's keep it here for now and see where this goes.

That's reasonable. This is a work-a round after all.

I posted the how to video here but I thought that any newly created scenarios should be posted in the Service & Scenarios forum.
