Heh, I had the same problem last night, so I went through the reds. No alarms, no dings, and when I was just under the signal I could see it was a terrible green with a red halo. I call that a bug. All my signals were red. Then to make matters worse I would pass a speed sign, the waypoint reflected the same speed as the sign, but the HUD did not reflect the change. In this case if I accelerated to the posted speed I the HUD would say I was overspeeding.

I find the TSW "Operator Manual" very limited: no information about signals, use of tab or shift+tab to pass reds, the 2D map, etc. That many folks are sharing "OJT" information is good, but the topics are scattered around. Could there be a sub-tab titled "Manual additions" or something similar?

If you run the red signal, you are directed into a head-on meet with an approaching train. Not good.

"Services" are organized according to locomotive, then service title, so which loco and which service? (This ain't TS!)

I was expecting this, and yet no train came at me.

Recall that I was testing if that signal was working properly. It was indeed, but it only showed green from five feet away.

This signal at MP1816-2 is one with ambiguous aspects.

Both the HUD and the marker show the correct aspect: proceed. The signal itself reveals the correct aspect only within 40 yards.

That is not what I am seeing. I was running at night through town, I forget the name.

OK. These errors should be reported to DTG as well.
I'll do MP 1816-2, it doesn't seem a signal logic error, probably some emitter was wrongly positioned or oriented.

I think it is the signal behind that is emitting red to its rear and overpowering the green aspect. I do hope we are not back to the same problem of having to tab, to pass signals that just don't work properly. I thought this was a new build, if it is, how come it has all the very familiar bugs of its predecessor? *!rolleyes!*

Saving a game can cause this to happen. Suggestion, run at one sitting. The esc/pause will not cause this to happen. I do not know if this has been corrected in the latest patch.

I encountered something similar while running the "Ice and Snow" scenario. After I coupled to my train and drove the short distance to Viaduct Junction, I found myself facing a red signal. After waiting for a while, I saved, quit TSW, relaunched TSW, and resumed the scenario. The signal was now green, so I proceeded toward Rockwell Junction. A mile or two along, I decided to press Tab to check ahead and the message that appeared said that no route was open. I drove on anyway and pretty soon the signal aspect HUD showed up colored green. I drove on for about 45 minutes before saving and quitting again, so I still have not completed the scenario. Although I've avoided long-haul freights in TS, I find driving them in TSW much more tolerable -- perhaps because of the graphics?

Note about saving/resuming "breaking" scenarios: I've run across several claims of this, but have saved and resumed tutorials, scenarios and sessions without any difficulties. Quite the contrary, as noted above. And just in case someone wants to accuse my computer of falling below minimum requirements, I freely admit that it does. So what?

The new patch is supposed to fix the save issue. Did you download the new beta patch u2tb?

I have had good luck and bad luck with saves up to this point. Outside sound inside, open a window is goes down. Brakes locked. A train that was not there when I saved.

I have to get out of the engineer's seat, open the front door and slam it shut, all is quiet again. LOL

You can just step out the back door and go back in also. On the SD & GPs.
