As you have probably already seen on our social media channels the last days, we would like to proudly present our first product in TSW. The TSW is a train simulator based on the Unreal Engine 4, which opens up completely new possibilities with the features of the UE4 and e.g. the Simugraph. That makes us all the more happy to be able to develop the 204 there.

Is this a Diesel Electric or Diesel Hydraulic loco?

The DB BR 204 is a diesel hydraulic loco.

Usually torque converters The final drive to the wheels is via cardan shafts off the bottom end of the hydraulic transmission unit, which is mounted under the floor of the cab. Heating in the winter but too hot in the summer!!
The first notches on the power lever filled the converters then each notch had direct response. The power “lever” is actually a steering wheel in appearance.

This loco is quite special when it comes to the technical side. It has a starting converter and two fluid torque converters. What results in a very characteristic way how this loco behaves.
