Have a look here, I haven't bothered with this because you need to download the UE4 engine thingy and I haven't got the time and patience to install a 12GB pack onto my computer and then go through countless files all week long.

If they want to go off there fine however many of us are not going to follow. This sim will be for a different group than a lot of us who have supported TS20xx for all these years.

Same here. TSW is lovely to look at and has cute rpg features, but it will be several years (if ever) before it becomes a serious competitor to TS20xx. For now its like their other X-Box game, Euro Fishing, a pleasant diversion but not anywhere near a hobby. We'll see which way DTG goes with it. Meanwhile I have plenty of TS2017 to work with right in front of me.

If there can be no 3rd party content creation or repaints, TSW will be like that first version of Trainz i bought all those years ago, and spent an hour on. Have not touched it since. If DTG has locked this sim down to repaints and such, then Open Rails, and TS2017 will be in use for a long time to come.

If they are smart they will nip this in the bud quick. Why give away free stuff when you can charge a small price for it to further support the hobby? They worked hard to make the product why do you think you should get it free? I guess britkits should be free then and Eyein 12 his stuff should be free right? People work hard and spend many many hours making this stuff. 85% of it is pirated any way so please support these guys. !!*ok*!!

You don't think a lot of people have bought some add on payware because one of us third party guys provided a free paint job or a freeware route that requires one or more pay routes? Think on it.

You can use TSWTools to unpack the PAKs. Takes some time, but runs easy. I have no idea how to open the uasset files yet. I tried using the Unreal engine, but this results in error messages (forgor which ones) As soon as I know I will include this in TSW tools as well (if possible).

I did not work on this for some time because I am revamping my other tool LuaCreator, which is a fairly huge effort, I must say.
