It depends on how much space he had on his HDD to begin with and if his TS2018 is also on the same drive, but, I think he might mean that with each TSW route released it is causing his hard drive to get fuller. I have already seen this happen myself, as I only own the CSX Heavy Haul base layout and the English route Great Western, and my Steam download is 27GBs, if each route release is between 12-15 GBs, then we will be filling our hard drives up quite quickly, and as DTG stated the other night on their Twitch stream, there are another 3 routes being currently developed now, as well as the 6 routes already available on Steam, as from today, and the CSX GP40-2, and of course, we haven't even started collecting the possible hundreds of repaints that may be offered by the community in the future for locomotives and rolling stock.

You've inspired me to examine my hard drive. My entire Steam folder resides on my C: drive, where its 451,000 files and 39,907 folders occupy a total of 242 of that drive's 930 GB. That includes all currently available DLC for TSW. I have another hard drive that 2.72 TB available. I'm pretty content with TS and TSW performance, so is there any reason for me to move my Steam folder to that larger drive?

If anyone remembers, TSW became multithreaded last year. It would make sense why it would use a lot of CPU, but there might be other programs open that cause all of it to be used.

This isn't a great solution in terms of how long it takes to get it, but it's well worth it if you want to save your cpu.

It's called Geforce Now. It's basically a streaming service that allows you to run games in a "cloud," so that it doesn't take up your disk space, and gives you stellar performance on high graphics. Once you have it and you have activated your copy, you can link up your steam account, and it will open steam through a cloud. It's a little strange, but you have to install TSW on the "cloud" version of steam that's running in GeForce now. It doesn't take too long though. It's a hassle, but it should work if you want to save your cpu.

Zek.... Interesting info. Thank you.

Biddydog.... Did you have the CPU issue before, or has it just started recently? On your original machine I meant.

I read the advertising blurb when I purchased my new Graphics card from nVidia 18 months, or, so, ago. There was talk of this GFN becoming a subscription service, something ridiculous like $25 for 20 hours game play time, has this happened yet, or, is the subscription thing still on the backburner, do ya know, please?

Nope, you still have to request beta access (which is free), but it takes a very long time to get your activation code via email.

OK, thanks for that info, unsure if Biddydog9000 will be interested in trying this, I don't think I'll bother with it myself personally.
