I've been working on my route for several months now and have hit a major snag. About 3 weeks ago I began getting SBHH errors whenever I would pass through or stay too long in a small particular area of the route. It was an area that only had track and a few small bridges in it and had been created several weeks prior without a problem. In fact I was navigating to my "job site" 30+ miles away when the error first occurred. At first, I assumed it was just another one of Railworks' many quirks and made plans to look into once I had finished work laying track in the yard I was building at the time. By the next day Railworks would crash and give me a SBHH error whenever I would try to open a flyout panel to access the tools from almost anywhere on the route.
I verified the game integrity through Steam and there were files needing replaced, but the errors were still happening. I had the route checked with RWTools and realized it wasn't going to offer me any clues to the problem, but after running the check in RWTools, my route wouldn't load at all. I started getting xml code errors and sometimes Steam or my computer would lock up until I'd shut down RW in task mngr. So I experimented with removing my route completely and reinstalling the folders and files one by one. When I'd get to the route template file, the fail to load issue returned. Replacing with back up files did nothing. So after a couple more weeks of trying anything and everything I can think of, I am left with a route containing the terrain, all of the track and everything I had created, running on what appears to be the default US route template, minus all of the decals that RWDecal generated (RW doesn't seem to know the files are there) and Railworks still gives me the SBHH error while in my route, but now it's whenever I try to use one of the terrain tools. I can lay track and place objects, I just cant raise or lower the terrain.
I am now beginning to think that I will need to chuck it and start over completely. So before I take a leap off the proverbial cliff, I thought I'd check in with everyone here to see if someone might have a clue as to what may be going on.
Thanks in advance.
