Scale Rail Track Issue

Unread postby emdsd90mac » Sun Mar 17, 2013 12:09 pm

Hey you all. Wondering if I can get a little bit of help here. I recently purchased the HR version of ATSF and SP Scale Rail and I installed it over the top of the freeware version. Now when I go to lay track, the new version does not line up with the old. So now, if I need or want to make any changes to my existing route I'm going to be up a creek. I did contact 3D Trains about this as well, just awaiting a reply but, I wanted to dip into the knowledge base here as well. In the picture, the old (freeware) version is on the bottom and the new (HR) version is on top.

All versions contain the same track spacing of 4.2 meters. Your screen, however, looks closer to 6 (20').
Cheers!

Hack, I had the same problem when I switched from free to pay with SP/SF.

Ok, with the help from Hack at 3D Trains, the problem has been solved. I had to modify the track spacing in the .bin file and match it to what I had. This put the tape measure tool in the sim to the test. Took 3 tries but success has been achieved. Ended up being 5.566 meters. We will never know how it got changed in the first place. Thanks again Hack!!! **!!bow!!**
