yes that's what he's getting at, scale rail comes with a variety of different switch stands to choose from but there's a certain way to use them?

ok first you need to open the following file
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\3DTrains\ScaleRail\RailNetwork\TrackRules\SR_Default.bin
then look for the manual junction entry in the following line of code below (instructions after code)
Code: Select all
         <ManualJunctionEntity>
            <iTrackRulesBlueprint-sPatternEntityDesc>
               <Blueprint>
                  <iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
                     <BlueprintSetID>
                        <iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
                           <Provider d:type="cDeltaString">3DTrains</Provider>
                           <Product d:type="cDeltaString">ScaleRail</Product>
                        </iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
                     </BlueprintSetID>
                     <BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">RailNetwork\SR_Default\Junctions\SR_133W1_LJct_Gy.xml</BlueprintID>
                  </iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
               </Blueprint>
               <SidewaysOffset d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="0000000000000000" d:precision="string">0</SidewaysOffset>
               <AnimID d:type="cDeltaString">Switch</AnimID>
               <TransitionTime d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="0000000000000040" d:precision="string">2</TransitionTime>
            </iTrackRulesBlueprint-sPatternEntityDesc>
         </ManualJunctionEntity>

the entry SR_133W1_LJct_Gy.xml is the switch stand type which you need to replace - with one of the following
SR_133W1_LJct_Gy.xml is a low stand with Green and Yellow targets
SR_133W1_LJct_Wr low stand with White and red
SR_133W1_LJct_Gr low stand with Green and red
HJct are high target stands

just replace that and save then fire up railworks, also there is a way to change switch stands after you have laid track its not too complicated and will explain later

Hi Jason,
I do not have a junction In the default named "SR_133W1_LJct_Gr". I do have "SR_133W1_HJct_R.xml" and "SR_133W1_AJct.xml. Again, I do not have the file you designate. I just downloaded and installed what I thought was the latest version of Scale Rail. I don't know what to do now.

Neither of these folks have been active for a couple of years. Look at the dates on the posts.

Sorry Buzz. I didn't mean to offend. I'll check closer next time.
Can You help me with my switch stand question?
Thank You.

Ask Marc (Hack). He's the creator of Scale Rail.

Third post from the top, then enter the editor and break the switches at the triangle. Use the weld tool, and provided you have manual switches enabled, all should go well. Once done, change the TrackRules back to whatever you desire out on the main.

Note: the TrackRules.bin can be converted to xml for editing by dropping the file on top of serz.exe (found in the main RW folder). Once edited, drop it again on serz.exe to convert from xml back to bin.

There's an icon in the bottom-left flyout menu that looks like a two-fingered fork. It needs to be checked prior to welding.

I was on my aforementioned mission and got the tracks to show up ok (see any era etc ) but have no switch stands. That''s where I am at.

The switch stands are referenced in the Track Rules. So long as the models are referenced, are in their proper folder with associated textures, all should be OK.
