Hi,
May be a silly question but is it possible to install moving traffic in a route or has this to be done by the author of the route when building it,
Thanks,
Roger.

I to would like to know this, but unfortunately I don't think it is possible for the end user. If it was I could take my 1930's vehicles and get them running on a road. Really, you have to build the road yourself in order to get the vehicles of your choice to run it.
It is possible to start learning the 3d modeling skill in Sketchup. And then the model could be finished off in the freeware program Blender, or exported to 3D Crafter Pro for finishing.
I learned to model scenery and like it.

Thats not completely true. I have seen and used traffic lofts, so they can be separate from the road. Unfortunately I have no idea how to make these.

Hi Gents,
The reason for me asking this was i am using the Tennessee Pass by Jonathan Lewis that has been scenery upgraded by Marc and i have not seen any traffic running on,
Just a few 18 wheelers and some cars would have been be great,
Its just me!!
Cheers,
Roger.
PS, yup i know ,some people are never satisfied!

All you need to do is lay down a traffic ribbon. I am not in front of my machine at home so I can't guide you through it, but its there.

I've got traffic on almost every road on my route. It's easy. Use the Scalerail traffic. In editor use the select track button to select a length of road, and the offset tool to place it 0.1m from the center. The only thing to look out for is that it won't link up seperate nodes, in other words, if you see any little red triangles above the road surface, that will had to be where you traffic ribbons end. Lots of traffic (especially if you make it interact with level crossings) ads a whole new level of immersion. Have a play around.

It might have been nice if you shared the link to that thread.
