Help! Tree Type Accuracy when placing scenery

Unread postby xxuntitledxx » Thu Feb 26, 2026 12:27 am

Hi all,

Piggybacking off my other thread... how important is tree accuracy when planting forests? I'm trying to find the ideal trees that are not only frame-rate friendly but also look good. I'm trying to represent the forests and landscapes my route goes through as best as I can (which is most of New Jersey/ half of Pennsylvania). I've gotten to the point where I can't decide on what trees to use or how to blend them.

I've narrowed it down to the following:

AP (looks good but not frame rate friendly)
Hanover
Mountain Sub
WHL
Tennessee Pass
Shasta Line
Wasatch Grade
HiLine
Vulcan Tree Pack

Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep frame rates up but no sacrifice in detail? Trying to bring the route up to the "standard" for details.

Any help would be great and hopefully I can get something decent out of it.

Ken
