Signal Links

I have this problem setting up a couple of signals. They are 2 head with 2 tails so as to direct trains via either track.
I have tried several types of signals ( newer types ) and they all have the same result.
In the pic below how do you change the direction of the link arrow to point the other way. Yes....the signal rotation on it's base is correct as the link 1 arrow is pointing in the correct direction.
I have searched forums and the net....

Hold shift while you selected the node and it should flip

I tried a few ways ....but not what you have stated. It worked a treat.
