Railworks America

Hello. Here are a few screens of the route I am working on right now. It is probably my 100th route that I have begun in this game, hopefully this one I can actually finish. So far I am pleased and not bored with it and have mostly everything I wanted from a route. To begin with, I took a different approach when starting this one and decided to confine myself to a particular space size as if it were a diorama. So I made a rectangle 4kmx8km out of rail and began building inside. Things that I wanted and are included so far are, 2 freight yards at each end of the route, a Y to turn engines around if required, an electric high speed double track, a diesel branch, a large city, a port, a coal mine, passenger stations at each end and also in between, a streetcar/interurban system, a elevated railway, street running, a repair facility for coaches and engines. Most of my inspiration came from the fellow that made the British Fictional Tramway and from another dude I found on youtube that built an N scale layout called Colleywood / Maryville Junction, but also to mention are the piles of pictures I have seen and videos of the NEC that really stuck with me.
