Impossibly tight curves

There is an interesting junction that I am modeling:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 4&t=h&z=19Look at the right most connecting route and you should see my problem. The editor will not allow me to make a bend that sharp (but it allows u-turns... go figure). Is there a way to do this? I have already tried setting the rule to Yard, and the speed limit to 5 and I just can't make it happen.

I can't tell from the picture what the radius is, but my experience is that very few engines can handle a radius of curvature of less than 40 meters.

By chance that wouldn't be where Niles Tower stood would it?
Have you tried using different track rules? Some allow a tighter radius then others. That might solve the problem.

yeah, the PO&N track rule has the same radius as the roads have so it is very usefull in some situations!

You can use an existing Track Rule and edit the bin file to indicate a smaller minimum radius:
MainLineTrackLimits>
<iTrackRulesBlueprint-sCurvatureLimits>
<MaxSpeedTolerance d:type="sUInt32">60</MaxSpeedTolerance>
<MinRadius d:type="sUInt32">150</MinRadius>
</iTrackRulesBlueprint-sCurvatureLimits>
</MainLineTrackLimits>

@Chessie8638, Indeed it is. I wish someone will make a US semaphore, so I can plant on there. And, yes I have tried different rules, but none will make that curve.
@dick8299, where can I find that bin file? And can I use RW_Tools to modify it?

The one I used as an example is
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\RailNetwork\TrackRules\SanB_Bars_ Mainline.bin
and yes you can modify it with RW Tools. Once modified use it to lay your track and if RSC over writes it after you layed your track, it will not affect anything. If you wanted to, you can clone a TrackRules file, modify all entries to suit your purposes and use it to lay your track.

Now that works nice...
I made my own rule file. Thanks!

If you zoom out a couple of times on that google map, you'll see a train on the curve. Cool.

Actually seeing what types of trains on the route gave me a ruff idea on what freight is being moved in which direction, and how far apart trains can be (though the latter is harder since images are not taken at the same time).
And then for modeling the route I dive to the street view to make sure I have the right types of crossing guards trees, and sometimes signals.
