Cutting terrain

Hi, can anyone give some tips on cutting terrain..I am trying to make a small drain about 7 feet wide but don't know the setting for the brush..I have read some tutorial and watched few videos but can't figure out how to cut such small area !*don-know!*
Would love some advice

I believe the narrowest you can make it with the painting tool is 8 meters, which is the smallest grid size in the editor.

You could try to find a narrow creek channel, and if that is too wide, fill in the sides with other objects, like timbers or rocks - perhaps a rock fence, to narrow it even further.

Or perhaps someone more expert will chime in.

Or use some of the lofts available butting them up against each other somehow.

Thank you guys..will use a loft and fill in the remaining gaps with some foliage. It is really very tough to build a route, tougher than I thought..

I had an area with a ditch between to tracks, I laid a parallel track in the general area and lowered it to the apx height. Then using the terrain symbol (looks like the magnet) to change the terrain it gave the proper slope looking like a ditch.
