Just recently got back into building on railworks and decided to try and make something like the Alamosa yard on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad.

and this is how it turned out so far.

Not bad. I'm not sure why the points don't render in full detail though. There appears to be some gaps in the junctions missing. Nonetheless, nice work though.

I need some working dual gauge track as well, since where I live, there were 3 gauges in one network basically. I'm not sure if dual gauge was one of the features that Kuju had planned with this game.

I wish this would have been one single model, would have made laying it alot easier. Instead it's two separate tracks layed on top of each other, the donner pass 3D mainline and for the smaller 3 foot gauge I used the G-Trax Durango and Silverton route's tracks. Works sorta well only having two problems so far, the standard gauge trains will just phase through the narrow gauge because they technically aren't there for each other and the fact that laying the turnouts is extremely complicated if you want to get it right.

Very nice. Could you show us a screenshot of an etire switch please? I would like to see how it looks.

Got a little more work done in the main engine services area (still need a name for this town and route) so here are some pictures of that

Looks pretty good to me. You've done a good job of bringing something into RW that wasn't built in to the game. I wonder if this is a sign that triple gauge yards may be possible? The state I live in actually had them believe it or not.

yeah you probably could if you had the 3 different gauge tracks

I've built all three tracks. I'm just having trouble with the three way junctions (game crashes when they're made). The line I've been thinking of modelling has a dual gauge yard at the junction which became triple gauge for a short time after around 1969.

Anyhow, your good work is a positive sign that dual gauge yards can be made in some form.

Just found this thread today, was any further progress made?
