Deleting Assets - Need Help

Unread postby JohnTrainHead » Sun Feb 15, 2015 1:58 pm

I am trying to get rid of all the 3D Trains trees on a route so I can replace them; how do I make it so that the route's blueprints do not reference these assets? Note that I do not own RW Tools.

I've never done this but I think you can do this by editing the Route Properties xml. Depending on what you are trying to do these things are in two places on this route I am looking at. Here's one example. Delete this and see what happens.

<iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID d:id="1131633688">
<Provider d:type="cDeltaString">3DTrains</Provider>
<Product d:type="cDeltaString">SceneryPacks</Product>

There is also one for WorldLandscapes. I would back up my route properties xml and try that and see if these guys go away.

That will only make the assets invisible, Buzz, but the items will still be in the scenery tiles and be required if the route is shared.
Cheers!

Do you have any other ideas? I do not.

Nope. Without RW_Tools, flying through the route and deleting by hand is the only way.

But then, RW_Tools isn't much $$, especially the amount of work otherwise involved.

Well I could try using the free trial version; how would I delete the assets WITH RW Tools?
