I have no seasons...anyone else have this problem?

Unread postby xxuntitledxx » Tue Feb 03, 2015 11:15 pm

Hi all,

I figured I'd post this again in a separate thread.

So long story short... I originally set up my route using RWTools. I made sure all of the proper folders were set up and blueprint files were in place. So now I've run into a bit of a minor problem... I have no seasons. I'm permanently stuck in summer and I can't see the other 3 seasons. Even if I select a scenario to be in let's say Winter... I have no snow, no bare tees, nothin...

Anyone run into this problem with routes they made? I thought if I went into my route bluerprints and set it to look at another route's season files maybe it would work, but no can do.

Any help is surely appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

No I don't have this problem. If I remember correctly the seasons are in the route route template file. They have to be in the referenced folder and those files have to reference correct items. So it sounds to me like you have a pathing error(s) somewhere in the route template.

I checked the path, found I was missing the TimeOfDay Folder. I copied a folder from another route and placed it in my route... I made sure the paths in the RouteTemplate file matched and still got nothing... any ideas? Also, does RWTools allow you to edit stuff like this rather than manually changing it in the file?

Are the paths in the time of day files correct? And your season files. Copying from another route might not work if their paths are to the route your copied from. You may need to go hunting a little deeper. One path somewhere can screw it up for you.

If I could look at your RouteProperties.xml file I might be able to help. You can attach it in a PM if you'd like or post/attach it here for others to see if Bob doesn't mind.
I edit mine quite often using other route(s) weather of my choosing. *!!wink!!*
I'm thinking your problem may be in your RouteProperties.xml. That's the brain to tell your route to use seasons and time of day. **!!2cents!!**
