Powder River Basin

Discussion about RailWorks route design.

I suggest not only some assets are missing, I think your route folder (in RailWorks\Content\Routes\...big-number... ) is damaged. The tracks are not even on the map (interrupted).
Just do a complete reinstall.

Yesterday I had a problem. I lost all my tracks doing a copy paste of 3DTrains from the PRB assets 7z.
I couldn´t recover until I decided to delete the entire route and reinstall it again from PRB route 11-28 7z.
However, I keep having a tracks issue.

In the southern western part of the route I have these gaps:

20240310004505_1.jpg

Going down and to east of that area, there are several small bits of tracks (2 or 3 very short) and there seems to be an incomplete yard located south of the eastern part of the route, that you can get playing the Angora Subdivision EB free roam.
The Angora Subdivision WB free roam is completely devoid of tracks (but you can see a few signals).

I have experienced this problem in my two installations, so I suspect (considering what you are saying), that the route in PRB route 11-28 7z may be damaged.

Hi all,

Recently discovered this route, downloaded all the dependancies and it seems to install ok. However the signals around Belle Ayr are all underground, is this correct?

Appreciate any comments.

As I'm having the exact same missing tracks, dId you manage to fix yours?

Yes, I did. I fixed not only those two gaps in the picture, but I got a full lenghty track joining west and east in the southern part of the route (and that yard in the other picture from Angora Subdivision above).
It would seem kris120 is right and the route is corrupted. But I only replaced the Network folder inside the route folder (which I got from another user).
I still have problems with missing scenery and vegetation in a few places. I have checked all assets I know of, and I am sure to have enabled them inside the route editor (and I have checked the RouteProperties as well)
Now I am starting to think that more (some scenery) than the network could be corrupt.
And I am almost sure the network corruption came from the Dropbox 7z distributing the route (mentioned within the last few pages of the Powder River Basin thread in the forum).

Some of the FreeRoam in the Angora sub scenarios are devoid of foliage, roads, and buildings. In my opinion this is where the route was abandoned and possibly the tracks and equipment were meant as placeholders.

I'm not sure where that lower picture is but I have a earlier version that has all of the tracks at Angora. I just took the Networks folder and replaced the one that was there and now at least at that location everything is there. Testing.

Check this one out. I just changed the name of my Networks to Networks.xx and then dropped this one in there.

Yes Buzz.
The route I downloaded was this one:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19386&hilit=power+river+basin&start=855#p273504
I am not sure my missing tracks were from a corrupted Networks folder in this download or it was me that produced the corruption.
But form the beginning I noted that:

20240309194838_1.jpg

Later on I got this in the 2nd FR Angora SubD.
20240310004431_1.jpg

The assets I downloaded which are a lot incomplete are from:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19386&hilit=power+river+basin&start=855#p273487

I have had the patience help from American Steam, to add missing assets and to replace Network, but there are still missing scenery/vegetation.

Now. I find this "assets cleaned". What is in there and what does cleaned mean here?:

I will check and see if this works. Otherwise I can send my Network folder.

Buzz

Your Networks folder is fully good to go. It has all tracks in the south and there is a lot of road activity.

P.S.
The route now is precisely like this one:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19386&start=855#p273436

P.S.
I just realized the Networks I had installed, is bigger in size (82.8) than your Networks (72.1mb). But I see the map of both routes about the same.
