I'm making good progress on the Angora subdivision and should have that ready for the update with scenery from Alliance to Bridgeport. I would not call the scenery complete as I'm sure there are plenty of things to add over the coming months but there is something to look at every meter of the subdivision as it stands now.

Along with a potential scenario from Alliance to Bridgeport I'm also working on a simple scenario that will have you returning a helper set from Belmont to Crawford. If you look at this area currently it's not fully scenicked but I'm planning on having it completed for the update. The screenshot shows an area just out of Crawford where I've found a nice combination of grass assets to use. Since these grass assets cover large areas at high densities (something the asset creator warns against doing) I was a bit worried about frame rates, but as you can see from the fps counter at the top it's running at a very acceptable level.

Angora subdivision is ready and I'm going to have more scenery between Hemingford and Alliance, don't think I can finish that stretch before the end of the month but it will be close.

The screenshots are from the scenario that will be included with the update - I ripped up 4 or 5 miles of grass on Crawford Hill and replaced it with the grass seen in the shots which looks much improved to my eye.

Thank you Zawal.

Now I'm thinking of using that grass in many more areas of the route. I may wind up redoing large sections of grass, but then again, variety makes for a bit more visual interest.

Looks like I'll have most everything ready except for the Bridgeport to Alliance scenario which is being a real pain in terms of player pathing. Dispatcher can't find a path from one marker to the next on a mainline even though there are no junctions between those two markers.

Forgot to mention that a standard scenario was added called 'Horseshoe Helpers'. As usual I also forgot to delete a couple of free roam scenarios that I used for testing - keep or delete them as you see fit.

Good god I must be going insane because I just ran a crew change point to crew change point fully without giving up an hour in. Although the Angora isn't fully completed scenery wise, running an ALNLAU via the south side was very enjoyable. Thank you, Tomcat!

You're welcome Anthony, glad you can get some enjoyment out of it!

Keyword being eventually! I don't know how to set up QD right now but it's something I'd like to learn once a lot more of the scenery is in place. For the time being I'll keep on adding a standard scenario with each update since that forces me to actually play my own route and I can see where additional signals and track markers need to be placed. I'm behind the curve on scenario creation know-how but each one I do gets me a little further down the road.

Thanks Roger!

For the next update I'll be working on pushing Westward on the Valley sub from Scottsbluff and doing the towns of Mitchell, Morrill and Henry. I need to finish filling out the South Morrill sub between Joyce and the South Morrill yard. I'll probably be doing a handful of miles on the Orin and Powder River subs and laying down SS Defect Detectors a handful at a time for each update.
