South Morrill subdivision at Gering, Nebraska. In the 3rd shot the buildings in the distance are in Scottsbluff along the BNSF Valley subdivision.

For scenario builders, here’s a PDF that contains a list of businesses on the PRB Route. It’s a WIP, so it’s liable to be updated from time to time. As you’ll see from looking at it, there is a lot more going on in the PRB than just COAL.

Boy that area brings back memories... You need to put a Minuteman Missile Site or 2 in that area. I spent a lot time working at those sites in the Scottsbluff Missile Flight, back in the early 70's. Awesome job! !*cheers*! !!*ok*!!

A few more of Scottsbluff proper and then heading West through more open country on the way to Mitchell, Nebraska... which I won't reach by the end of August when I expect to release a scenery update.

Having an animation of a couple of Minuteman missiles arcing through a clear Nebraska sky would be very cool... and very disturbing! Brings back memories of watching 'The Day After' which I never watched again after the initial TV release.

Another week or two and I'll have a scenery update ready for release. It's looking to be about a 25mb download and will include a handful of new assets I'm using along with what I've put down scenery-wise. The screenshots show what I've managed to cobble together for the loco service area of Alliance. Also included will be the towns of Bridgeport, Gering, Scottsbluff and Union Pacific's South Morrill yard along with some work on the Angora subdivision and the tail end of the Orin. Some of these areas may look finished on first glance but each town and yard will be about 95% complete.

From this point going forward I plan on releasing a scenery update every 2 months or so and may include a new standard scenario with each release - might have a scenario from Hemingford to Alliance ready for this release but I'm fighting the AI which seems to want to do different things each time I test run it so it's not a sure thing for this update.

Thank you for this and Cajon-Mojave. Two of my favorite routes along with New York Division Bergen.

Scenery update is here!

If you are updating then grab the following 2 files;

*REMOVED*

and

*REMOVED*

Unzip the the first file and drop the route folder into your Railworks Route subfolder, overwrite if asked. Install the 2nd file with the Railworks Utilities executable found in your Railworks root folder.

If you want an updated info PDF download - *REMOVED*

If you are new to the PRB then download the full route and asset files (no need to download the update files above as they are incorporated in the full files below);

*REMOVED*

and

*REMOVED*

This release adds partial scenery to the following;

The towns of:

Bridgeport
Gering
Scottsbluff

South Morrill yard scenery
Progress Rail Service yard @ Bridgeport
Loco service scenery added to BNSF Alliance yard

Scenery added to tail end of Orin Subdivision
Scenery added to parts of Butte Subdivision between Hemingford and Alliance
Scenery added to Cassa on the Canyon Subdivision
Scenery added to Southern end of Angora Subdivision

Test addition of one SS Defect Detector at MP 62.5 on the Orin Subdivision.

And one new standard scenario called Hemingford Hop using the SS/JR BN SD40-2's

Have fun and let me know if this all makes sense as I'm feeling out of sorts today and may have bungled up the packaging.

Thanks for the update.

Filling another gap in the vast expanse that is Powder River Basin.

LOL, the route map has grown so big, it won't fit on the 9 screen anymore, no matter how far I zoom out.

Only in RW_Info one can see the scale and expanse of this route.
I also notices all the mines have balloon tracks, the trains can be loaded without stopping, true merry go round style.

Scenery update incoming towards the end of the month. This update may complete the Angora sub or at least a large chunk of it(screenshots are a couple of miles South of Alliance). More scenery between Hemingford and Alliance on the Butte sub, 6 or 7 miles of new scenery around Shawnee Junction, some fill on the Orin sub and a bit of work in the Black Hills. Last and possibly least, a slim chance for a new standard scenario between Bridgeport and Alliance.
