Found and watched this video on the Black Hills Central Railroad:

And remembered this thread topic from Page 11:

I was particularly impressed with the scenery and how Tomcat captured it so well (Page 23)......

Nice find! Thanks Roger!

I think about this area often, it is a scenic gem. I'll wait till all the track work is in for Alliance before I revisit this area and make a final decision on whether to include the rest of the High line in the PRB.

Keep on keeping on.....
This route IS my model railroad just as I’m sure Minerman’s route is other people’s “model railroad” or “virtual model railroad”. Could you imagine ever trying to build a scale railroad anywhere near the size of these two with all their possibilities......

Alliance, Nebraska. Half of the yard is in place and I'll work on the other half over the next day or two. Hovering over where the W. Kansas St. overpass would be as the Angora sub begins it's march Southward.

Thank you CN2899!

The plan is to continue 30 some odd miles South with the Angora subdivision until I get to Northport and then head West 80 some odd miles on the Valley subdivision to connect to the track already laid on that subdivision. Once that is complete then I'll be concentrating on scenery. It's possible I may add more track once the scenery is done but I'll have to see how the tracks.bin holds up and whether my stamina holds up as well.

Work continues at Alliance. Locomotive service tracks in the middle extending Eastward. Butte subdivision continues East at left edge and Angora subdivision running towards the right. All the tracks heading East will hopefully be tied together tomorrow.

Not sure what I'll wind up doing once the grand loop is done. I'm kind of partial to adding to the PRB as long as the tracks.bin behaves rather than starting a new route. My preference is for long drives similar to the large Southwestern network in Run8.

its an exciting project and a massive project too. hopefully the track bin behaves itself , i don't get run8 over here but the PRB does give a long drive in many directions

We have over 900 miles of mainline track on the MRL and it behaves.
