Big Sky Country

Discussion about RailWorks route design.

The first release will run from a few miles east of Jones Juction (Huntley, MT.) to Bozeman. Once into Billings, the there will be a lot of switching and local freight opportunities to include, but not limited to one coal fired power plant and two large refineries and a sugar CoOp. Then heading west, it's off to Laurel and beyond. As Buzz stated, the next release hasn't been decided, but since many folks are looking forward to seeing Mullen Pass, I would imagine that will be the route we take. But no promises as of yet. Thanks for tuning in and taking interest in our little route.

Well the only other locomotives running around on the MRL are BNSF.

Getting ready for some serious tie replacement. Nitsujy12345 gondolas. I may just have to ask him for permission to do some in MRL livery. *!greengrin!*

Next up to go with the other portal I did, the East Portal to the Mullan Tunnel from MacDonald Pass.

On my next day off I'll start work on this to go with the first.

Yes, it certainly is.

IIRC, the bulges at the end house the fans used to vacate exhaust from the tunnel. I also seem to recall the whole thing was removed when the tunnel was rebuilt several years back.
Cheers!

Yes, Hack is correct. The ventilation system is all but gone. I modeled the tunnel portals already and purposely left the ventilation system off due to that reason.

Interesting, since I also modeled the West tunnel portal.

Don't know what we're going to do with this one.

Lots to fill in in Bozeman yet but making good progress on the stuff close to the tracks. Thanks to a couple of cool landmarks like the old station and a distinctive building nearby we have some authenticity by Jon Peterson Jr.
Nice stuff there Jon. !!*ok*!!

Clouds lower than the mountain tops out by the Livingston truck stop. Pretty neat.
