Aye, Don't thank me for the link Rudi, Thank Minerman for telling me about it. It's how he gets his track work for the wonderful Bergen !!*ok*!!

Minerman eh? Makes sense for sure. I feel like I've been passed a baton of sorts, so I'll try to make good use of it; Thanks Minerman! !!*ok*!!

I have just a few practice teasers remaining. At a smaller mill, we have an improvised green-chain using a signal gantry and ventilation objects. The green-chain is where fresh timber (wet) is sawed into lumber prior to going to the kiln for drying. Then it goes to the dry-chain to be cut into finished dimensions:

And what rural community would be complete without baseball? The snack bar even serves fresh-baked apple pies to go with the game. The apples are often provided fresh from the orchard's fruit stand, set-up in the parking lot next to Thompson's Grocery:

Speaking of apples, I just had to feature one of my favorite buildings from the Stevens Pass route. I just did a little kit-bashing for the overhead loading and office extensions. This facility will likely be reserved for somewhere around Chehalis on the new route:

And lastly, a single shot that captures the essence of what I hope to achieve with the new route:

So, that's all for the teasers; time to get back to work on the actual route. The next shots you see will be of the new route as it progresses. Thanks for your interest! !!howdy!!

Stunning scenery on this one. Really hope it is able to be
Finished. A beautiful logging route is exactly what is needed in this game.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments !!howdy!!

The dream is still alive, but progress (work) has been at a stand-still while waiting for the dust to settle with the 64-bit version: viewtopic.php?f=78&t=20503&start=105

Here's an example of how far the new route has progressed before I focused on other things:

Cowlitz River Railroad Trestle 01.jpg
SWW Longview - Centralia_03.jpg

That's the old wooden trestle that crosses the Cowlitz River at Rocky Point, just north of Longview-Kelso; with the NP mainline to the far right. As we can see, it's still very much in it's infancy; but there's enough there, that I'd like to continue eventually. There's just a lot of enjoyable distractions going on at the moment; American Truck Simulator recently added Oregon to the mix, so I moved my garage to Portland; but the new GN Cascadian route has certainly captured most of my attention.

Anyway, the route still has a pulse; it's just hibernating at the moment *!!wink!!* Cheers!

And now, let's take a tour of the Hanaford Valley Branch, leading from the NP Mainline and through the rural farming area, to deliver some coal to the steam plant...
