I have the same problem as Harry plus the RS1 glass textures are shown as missing.

To fix the missing glass etc textures in the RS-1, go into both the engine and cabview texture folders. Copy any file ending in nm.Tgpcdx and rename the copy to nmc.Tgpcdx

To fix the sky in the free roam I copied the textures from Assets\DTG\SoldierSummit\Environment\Sky\textures to Assets\WACampbell\CVP\Environment\Sky\textures, but any route will work.

I'm so happy Wayne that your route is finally published.
Great job, and nice manual too! I love the story you built for this ficticious route.
I'll set aside a week-end to explore it.
I'm already thinking about which old diesel will make a visit. Maybe a Shark or two.

I don't understand completely what the manual says about the RS1, maybe someone can explain to me because I can't install the route right now:

Note that his locomotive uses my spring action brake control. Press ‘ tick key to reduce brake pipe pressure. Release the key to hold at that pressure.

Isn't this the normal behavior for a self-lapping brake?

Press ; semicolon key to charge the brake pipe. When you release the key the brake control moves to run mode.

What is run mode? Is it the same as the "Running" handle position ?

the throttle and brakes are interlocked - not necessarily realistic - but convenient for switching.

Interlocked how? I'm used to interlocked throttle and reverser, which means you can't change direction when the throttle isn't at 0.
In this case, does it mean the throttle drops to 0 if you use the brake, and the brake is released if you move the throttle?
That would make it behave like the remote control box they use for switching in yards.

Your fixed worked perfectly for me. Thanks!

Thanks to Tom Constantine (Overshoe) for sussing out the cause of the missing textures. When your Scenery Quality slider is set below 80%, Train Sim uses the _nmc compressed files instead of the better _nm files. Due to some overzealous file purging, my download package is missing all the _nmc files ( not just sky and cab windows, but all _nmc files )

In the next few days I'll upload a patch to provide the missing files. But in the short term , you can raise your Scenery Quality to 100% in your Advanced Settings to fix the problem. I've added a note to the installation instructions to advise any other users of this issue.

Thanks again Tom!

Wayne

PS - a patch is available here to resolve this problem. I'll update the library copy soon.

Route looks fantastic overall. Congrats on finally reaching something close to a finishing point on years of work! However, I have a slight issue. Most of the tracks are having an issue where they're clear in between the rails, allowing you to see through whatever is below it to the ground level. Not sure what's going on here.

Thanks Wayne. Changing the scenery settings fixed my issues. Now all I need is a new, more powerful gaming system. Perhaps some of you would like to help convince my wife...

This occurs when you transition from the scenario editor to run mode. Its a known railworks bug along with the missing switchstands and turntables that also occur then. Just exit your scenario and restart and you should be good.

You'll see the difference when you try it.

Yes

the throttle and brakes are interlocked - not necessarily realistic - but convenient for switching.

Yes.

Note, that the above behavior only applies to keyboard shortcut keys. If you drive by moving the cab controls with the mouse, then you get the normal ( and more realistic ) behavior.

Its great to see a number of you have got the route installed and working. Thanks for sharing your pics.

For those still having a problem with missing _nmc texture files, I have provided a patch below. I'll wait to see what else comes up before I update the library's copy.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KhAkfKYCNMoGrIiPNCLDCQ3wRlZjH_OT

For those using RWEnhancer, I have noticed its 'Flora' enhancement makes the flora too long and its growing up between the ties of the mainline track. I've had to turn that feature off. I thought I'd mention it in case you are running my route and wonder about the grassy mainline - thats not the way I made it!

I am not much of a scenario writer ( no patience! ) so I hope some of you may jump in and provide. And we need more locos for the CVP, and for Ryan Creek Logging, and some electrics for the Granby Smelter. Consider it a community project now - you all are welcome help out.

I'm sort of working on the 0-6-0 if I can unravel the puzzle. I'd be happy to do a F7 since I've done a zillion of them.
