Note that his locomotive uses my spring action brake control. Press ‘ tick key to reduce brake pipe pressure. Release the key to hold at that pressure.
Press ; semicolon key to charge the brake pipe. When you release the key the brake control moves to run mode.
the throttle and brakes are interlocked - not necessarily realistic - but convenient for switching.

To fix the sky in the free roam I copied the textures from Assets\DTG\SoldierSummit\Environment\Sky\textures to Assets\WACampbell\CVP\Environment\Sky\textures, but any route will work.

Most of the tracks are having an issue where they're clear in between the rails, allowing you to see through whatever is below it to the ground level. Not sure what's going on here.

Isn't this the normal behavior for a self-lapping brake?

What is run mode? Is it the same as the "Running" handle position ?

Interlocked how? I'm used to interlocked throttle and reverser, which means you can't change direction when the throttle isn't at 0.
In this case, does it mean the throttle drops to 0 if you use the brake, and the brake is released if you move the throttle?
That would make it behave like the remote control box they use for switching in yards.
