Alright, time for another update! I got some more scenery added around the port and where the tracks begin to go down highway 164. No more bare and ugly scenery *!greengrin!* .

Here are a few shots on highway 164 where the tracks run straight down the middle. These dadgum highways take awhile to model/kitbash!

Beautiful shots ET! How ever you are building those highways it's very effective; time well spent IMO. I'm not familiar with placing highways, but I'm guessing you must be laying a roadbed first, then the road textures, followed by the guardrails? Not sure how you are getting everything to "stick together" or line-up so nicely ...perhaps there are lofts involved? Regardless, you've done some outstanding work with this route; very convincing. !!*ok*!!

Thank you Rudi!

Are you familiar with the offset tool in the editor? I place down the roadbed first, and then using the offset tool I line up two rows of guardrails that follow the roadbed. Again, I use the offset tool with one of the guardrail lofts to place down the road, which should place the road loft right in between the two guardrail lofts in the middle of the roadbed. The process is not complicated, but it might sound confusing if you are not familiar with the offset tool!

I personally hate those guardrails in Euro Truck Sim 2, as they're purposely put there to stop folks like myself doing U turns in the most unlikely place ever, and skipping traffic queues whilst approaching oncoming cars at something equivalent to 220kph with 100 tons of cargo attached.

They do look nice though. And to add to the above post, essentially you select the railway icon in the editor, then the orange dotted square which is essentially the measuring tool, click the arrow with the white underneath that's just below the bin icon, set the offset value which appears in the bottom grey window in the editor, and click on the square on the side of the loft you wish to add things to.

ET and SAR, that's some useful info. I've used the off-set tool for placing a tunnel-loft and retaining walls, but never knew it could be used for anything besides track.
Thanks, I learned something new today !!howdy!!

It's great. I have used it for weed lofts, barriers, fences, and a center divider that EMDSD90MAC made for me.
