How to use the track gradient tool?

Unread postby Railroy19 » Thu Apr 25, 2013 6:32 pm

I'm having a problem trying to set the track gradient tool to lay track going down hill so it will end up at the same height as the track on the other end of the route. I running a two track mainline around the route. The tool has a box with 0.0000 set for level running of track, If I set it at -1.2500 the track install heading for the center of the earth:) If I SET it for 1.OOOO It heads straight up in the air. what am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

It sounds like your using a German track rule where the grade is measured over a mile or km, not sure which one but when you put 1.0000 in the grade box it will be the equivalent of a 100% grade or 1 in 1.
Frontrunner in the file library now!

Ok thanks.
I will try some other method of using this tool.
The setting will more than likely be in the the righthand flyout in editor.
I thought these setting were in percentage.
Will figure this out today :D

Thanks again Thebigboyroyski
