Google Maps Question

Unread postby TheTeenageFoamer » Sun Sep 23, 2018 11:35 am

So only a few tiles load at a time when I turn on the overlay. Is there any way I can get Google maps without having to deal with their stupid new setup? The reason I ask is because I don't have a debit/credit account I can link to Google, and I can't work on my route at all with out maps.

Try deleting the Google Key in settings. That's how I got overlay to work again.

I did try that. And it did work for about half a day and then it only started loading a few tiles at a time.

Same problem here.

With my old API key, created two years ago everything works fine.
With an API key created on a second account a few month ago, there are no tiles loading.
Starting the editor without an API key, only some tiles are loading, the others are only blue circles.

Ok, so I got an account hooked up, but what are the odds I'll go over the free $200 per month?

I've been doing some serious mapping this last couple of months and I've not even gotten close. I've heard the same from a few others. I think those who have a concern are the ones that run mapping services on their web sites.
