Ah, I see said the blind man to his deaf son as he picked up the hammer and saw.
Yet there is a post where someone is making a Track Mobile model and he has pictures of it in the game without textures on it. Unless he has a "base" grey added to it so it can be posted.
So Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa.
Then I would look into shading it some by dropping a new darker layer on it and adjusting the opacity. I did that with a re-textured default block that was light concrete with oil spots. It brought the whiteish glare down to where I wanted it to be. Also I thought I read a post that discussed using the Alpha layer to do the same thing.
Plus there is a feature in RW Tools that may help. There is a tool in Edit Assets menu, Asset Editor menu, then Edit Assets tag called "Zero EmissiveAsVec" that automatically adjust those values to zero so as to eliminate the "glow in the dark" effect of textures. It has eliminated roughly the same problem with the third party loading docks that have the forklifts on them. This way the values are set correctly before copying all that programing mumbo-jumbo into a rwp.
That is all that I have on this matter as I am still learning this stuff just as you are.
