Rattlesnake Ridge route.

Discussion about RailWorks route design.

Rattlesnake Ridge route.

Unread postby jpetersjr » Sat May 30, 2015 11:18 am

Noticed this route uploaded in the file library this morning, but it doesn't say what's needed to run the route, I'm trying to find out if we need any special files or scenery in order to run the route.

Since I'm not sure if it can just be installed without needing any possible payware assets or not, or if it's made of only freeware and no payware needed.

I'll try installing the route, but I hope it won't result in something bad has happened because of missing some payware asset.

Default as in default to TS14 since Donner Pass assets are obviously shown in the screenshots

Welcome to the confusing world of "default" assets.

The route requires the following payware DLC:
Train Simulator: Donner Pass: Southern Pacific Route Add-On
Train Simulator: Hamburg-Hanover Route Add-On

The provided scenarios require the following payware DLC:
Train Simulator: US Loco & Asset Pack

Some players got these add-ons for free because they used to be included with the game at some point.

This would be the same then for each route. To me it's default as it game with the software. I see now that others may not have these assets. For this mix up I stand corrected, and apologize to all for the mistake.

Don't worry about it to much... since the removal of the Kuju assets a while back, what is "default" and what isn't has become very confusing. I also believe that a fair number of people have Donner, so most people should be able to enjoy your work. !!*ok*!!

Wouldn't the Academy assets be default since they are included with every updated copy of Train Simulator?

6 routes? Wow. We're more used to people advertising WIP routes that never get completed, than people releasing 6 complete routes that were never advertised!

I hope someone makes standard scenarios for them so I can try them.

Don't worry about the assets, Barry. As JohnTrainHead said, most people here have Donner Pass and the US pack.
