I have the versions 1 through 3 that sit unused, passed on 4 and I will pass on this on the buy it again program. It seems that some dlc are portable over between versions. TSC is just more versatile.

DTG announced TSW 5 will be free (for 30 days) for those with previous versions. It just won't include the DLC packaged with the standard edition.

The two platforms need not be "mutually exclusive," but there's also the reality that TSC is a 15-year-old platform.
