I see on Steam that TSW2 has a pre-release price for 29.95 and if you have already have Train Sims World you get a 15% discount. For what it is worth. You all decide.

Interesting! I will probably purchase being as I already have TSW.

I have TSW but I haven't run it in almost a year. For $29.95 (less the 15% discount) (about $25.50) I can pass. I'll see if they offer it on sale (for even less) six months or a year after release, and see what the reviews look like. I have not been terribly impressed with TSW.

I also have the original TSW but have played it only sporadically.
However, after watching the various Q&A streams, I have to say TSW2 looks visually very impressive.
And the learning curve looks easier to me.
Plus, this time around, you can create your own scenarios with AI and change liveries, which is pretty much
all I would use an editor for anyway. Plus, TSW content is ported over.
All in all, with an upgraded Sandpatch and a subway route included, for around 25 bucks what's not to like.
I'm giving it a go.
