Coming soon to your PC, a hefty 10GB if you own the DLC,

Introduced various signalling fixes and updates across the route:

Updated all Zs2, 2v, 3v and 6 indicators to use new dot matrix displays.
Reviewed and added new PZB speeds magnets throughout the route.
Adjusted speed limits along the route.
Fixed an issue with missing or incorrect door sides for all passengers loading at stations.
Fixed an issue signal head not being able to show Sh1 on entry to siding at Leipzig Messe.
Changed junctions from automatic to manual in Dessau Yard.
Resolved electrification error south of Leipzig MDR.
Introduced various fixed to services:
Moved the 23:15 service to 23:17 so it starts correctly.
Adjusted the Leipzig Connewitz Platform 3 northbound stops to prevent them from requesting routes beyond until ready to proceed.

DB BR 1442 “Talent 2” Electric Multiple Unit:

HUD has been updated to the current standard to reflect the updated PZB information.
Introduced various optimisations to the audio occlusion performance.
Added Tempomat to the HUD.
Added a new PZB system.

Main-Spessart Bahn (PC only):
These changes are already present on the console versions:
Miscellaneous environment geometry and collision fixes.
Fixed an issue with height of Auto Runner scenario start marker.
Unlocked the throttle control when told to stop at Gemunden in case the throttle is set to anything other than off in the Doppelstockwagen introduction.
Fixed an issue with Dosto horn audio not playing correctly.
Fixed an issue with the destination control beep requiring pressing the button too hard on Dosto.
Added missing audio for the Sifa pedal and reset buttons on Dosto.
Flipped two single slip junction motor sets to sit the correct side of the track on Gemunden station.
Fixed an issue on Services 82126 and 83150 preventing getting up the hill and subsequently completing the services.”

No word on US Diesel physics fix, perhaps together with the next US DLC?
We could assume the USA is next for being able to buy a DLC given the previous release schedule.
Will it finally a freight switching route, or another back-and-forth commuter run?

PS: apparently the update has been delayed due to some unforeseen issue. DTG get is better right, otherwise it is lots of data wasted for those that still are on metered data plans.
PSS: the update to build 597 has now been applied to my game, only a 222 MB download? And the core .pak also seems to have been binary patched??

According to TrainSim Dmitri, the latest community manager, the fixes for the American diesel loco, are now completed. However, when they will be implemented is anybodys guess. You're probably right about them being implemented with the next American DLC. I believe, as you do, that they're struggling with trying to come to grips with the UE4 engine. The last 3 DLC, have been quite good, with bugs of course. Also the physics of the engines included with those DLC have improved quite a bit.

I hope the fixes are implemented soon and they also release some American DLC. I would like to see what a desert route in the unreal engine looks like.

We'll see what DTG brings to the table in their next USA DLC.

TSW can handle "unlimited" world size and route length apparently, DTG just don't have the time and/or resources to create a long route economically for the usual set price.

US South Western deserts are generally long haul routes, and it seems DTG likes to cap their present route DLC at 60 minutes running time.

We'll have to wait and see.

I would still purchase a US desert route even they released a shorter version of the route or divided them into different segments to purchase separately.

probably because the US console version sales aren't as strong. This game was designed for consoles so they will focus on add-ons where the sales are stronger

Perhaps.

According to SteamDB the daily numbers of PC players has sunk below 200 again, so no real improvements there.

Those new locomotives announced on such short notice do look nice, but if the sounds don’t match up with the visuals, they are just more of the same.

TSW is still far off «the Ultimate in Realism in Train Simulation ».

DTG hasn’t abandoned the USA market I hope, for no new route and trains set has yet been announced ?

What is the purpose of making a simulator for console, I still wonder.
Console will not get an editor as per DTG forums, unfortunately.

"game" not "simulator" which is why you're seeing it on console. TSW is marketed for casual gamers, not enthusiasitic railroad simmers.

I agree. TSW started out with so much potential, but failed to listen to the countless suggestions for improvements from users that wanted it to succeed.
