No word on US Diesel physics fix, perhaps together with the next US DLC?
We could assume the USA is next for being able to buy a DLC given the previous release schedule.
Will it finally a freight switching route, or another back-and-forth commuter run?

PS: apparently the update has been delayed due to some unforeseen issue. DTG get is better right, otherwise it is lots of data wasted for those that still are on metered data plans.
PSS: the update to build 597 has now been applied to my game, only a 222 MB download? And the core .pak also seems to have been binary patched??

According to TrainSim Dmitri, the latest community manager, the fixes for the American diesel loco, are now completed. However, when they will be implemented is anybodys guess. You're probably right about them being implemented with the next American DLC. I believe, as you do, that they're struggling with trying to come to grips with the UE4 engine. The last 3 DLC, have been quite good, with bugs of course. Also the physics of the engines included with those DLC have improved quite a bit.

I hope the fixes are implemented soon and they also release some American DLC. I would like to see what a desert route in the unreal engine looks like.

We'll see what DTG brings to the table in their next USA DLC.

TSW can handle "unlimited" world size and route length apparently, DTG just don't have the time and/or resources to create a long route economically for the usual set price.

US South Western deserts are generally long haul routes, and it seems DTG likes to cap their present route DLC at 60 minutes running time.

We'll have to wait and see.

I would still purchase a US desert route even they released a shorter version of the route or divided them into different segments to purchase separately.

probably because the US console version sales aren't as strong. This game was designed for consoles so they will focus on add-ons where the sales are stronger

Perhaps.

According to SteamDB the daily numbers of PC players has sunk below 200 again, so no real improvements there.

Those new locomotives announced on such short notice do look nice, but if the sounds don’t match up with the visuals, they are just more of the same.

TSW is still far off «the Ultimate in Realism in Train Simulation ».

DTG hasn’t abandoned the USA market I hope, for no new route and trains set has yet been announced ?

What is the purpose of making a simulator for console, I still wonder.
Console will not get an editor as per DTG forums, unfortunately.

"game" not "simulator" which is why you're seeing it on console. TSW is marketed for casual gamers, not enthusiasitic railroad simmers.

I agree. TSW started out with so much potential, but failed to listen to the countless suggestions for improvements from users that wanted it to succeed.
