GP40-2 folder has moved - where should it be?

Last night I had an automatic update, on checking this morning, my GP40-2 has disappeared out of my game altogether. When I went into the folders on my hard drive a new folder had been installed containing the locomotive, but, it is not in the usual place in with all the other rolling stock content, so, I just wanted to know from those of you who have the Geep, where is it in your folder section please?

This is what I had yesterday morning, before the update -

This is what is in that folder section now -

Folders now.jpg

This is the GP40-2 in that new folder -

GP40-2 inside.jpg

But, when I go into the game it isn't there -

Now, I've extracted the loco and put it with all the other reskins, but, it still doesn't appear, so, before I go stark staring bonkers, exactly where should the locomotive be in the folder section, 'cos I don't think it's been put in the correct place now by Steam, I think DTG have been twiddling about with things.

Blame DTG’s QA.

The route updates probably deleted the GP40 Services and Scenarios, because the GP only substitutes for a SD.

Have you tried uninstalling both, then first re-installing the route before re-installing the GP40?
That way, perhaps the right scenarios for the GP40 will become available again.

Mine is were I tied it down about 4 weeks ago. I received the same update. Most likely a reinstall will make it come back. The unusual thing is when I start TSW I have a blank screen until I click the mouse on the blank screen then the acknowledge screen appears. I noticed this morning that all the engine repaints have been modified. The NS repaint has been relabeled CSX. The color is still black and still has the white stripes on the end. The railcar reskins are untouched. Can anyone else verify this? I wonder if DTG is doing this at the behest of CSX? Maybe a licensing issue. That L word again.

Ahhhhhhh, now then, I've just had another automatic download and guess what, the GP40-2 has gone back into the correct folder, and not only that, but, if you look at the volume on the screenshot above and now this one which I've just had and it's over twice the size of yesterday's download, so, that one must have been corrupted, and it now appears in my game and I also have a crocked NS-CSX reskin, so, something has changed, but, at least it's re-appeared.......

I think that DTG has found a way to not allow some reskins or at least modify them. Okay reskinners what do you think about that? How will this affect the editor? Still thinking this is a licensing issue.

Hmmm, well, the GP40-2 is CSX and the repaint is Norfolk Southern, so, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with licences!!!

This is what it looks like in my game now.

Steve,
I had the same issue as well....bad upgrade, another upgrade and back to normal.
I was going to show you a screen of my NS GP40 ( it is different ) like you have shown but for the love of me, I cannot get a dump.
I have tried F12, Ctrl + F12 , F1 + F12.....nothing... !*don-know!* ...what button / buttons do you use to get those shots?

Thanks in advance,
Gordon.

I have always used FRAPS to take my screenshots with, Gordon, I obtained a licence in 2012/13, I have it set up so I can exchange between TS2019 and TSW, I have separate folders that my screenshots upload in to, I don't use anything in the game.
Sorry, I'm unsure what to suggest to you if you wish to take them whilst you are the game, I presume it can be done, somehow.
I'm sure you can still download and install FRAPS freely from their website, but, with the free version the screenshots are taken in BMP format and you would then have to convert them using another tool into jpegs.

I am thinking that CSX will not allow other locomotive railroad logos in TSX HH by contract. Non of my rail cars were modified only the GP40-2.

Hmmm, but, all of these repaints are free, so, I wouldn't have thought that was an issue, and they are made by the community, not DTG, so, as we aren't bound by any licencing agreements, we are exempt, especially, those of us in Europe and anywhere outside the US where these companies don't operate commercially.

It looks as if the skins are superimposed over each other. Definitely caused by the last update.

!**duh*!! ...I have Fraps and it just flew over my head... !!jabber!!
Interesting that we, both and most likely most members have been through the update / update in the last 2 days, as I have all files back in the correct place and the NS GP40-2 showing as it should in the NEC & Sandpatch.
Steve, I don't know why yours shows as both skins superimposed.... !*don-know!*

I've resolved it now, the Norfolk Southern reskin was in conflict with the other GP40-2 repaint, the CSX yn3, if you extract that one out of the game then the Horsehead now shows up correctly, just like your screenshot shows, Gordon, problem sorted.

The update reinstalled the GP40-2 Yn3 .pac file to the DLC folder. Can't have both or they will superimpose. Nothing here to see, please move on.
