Steam is downloading a 546 MB update to my game.

Train Sim World it is now, no more CSX Heavy Haul. Which makes sense of course, now TSW has expanded to Great Britain and Germany.

Changelog to come, once I find it.
New start screens.

What's to celebrate with severely limiting the experience just for consoles? Short routes, limited services, limited functionality. Yaaay celebration.

The thread title is mine, due to lack of any real info ;-)

For DTG it is a celebration, and probably a long standing wish fulfilled: to be out there with the big boys of gaming.

However, first review of the PS4 isn't very positive, also due IMO to the reviewer not knowing anything about trains and train driving games or simulations.

I fear the same is true for the majority of Konsole Kids: trains are boring and belong in a museum. And at Euro 50 or 55, the game isn't cheap either.

Also the Steam Store content has changed. TSW is now sold in bundles, now includes four routes: CSX:HH, NEC:NY, GWE and RT. GP40-2 is included in a larger bundle. WSE is still a separate DLC

Is it possible to know how much of this update was devoted strictly to consoles? Since I use TSW strictly on a PC, I'd prefer not having my hard disk cluttered with support files for other means of access.

I have no idea. My game is still on separate .pak files. I believe new buyers get a single consolidated .pak file.
Why a name change requires a 546 MB download? I honestly don’t know. You’ll have to expand the .pak files to examine their contents.

The PS4 version of the base game is considerably smaller at 8.9 GB, due to much lighter textures and other economisations by DTG.

Hopefully, with the new name, DTG will get an editor out to us and release some new locomotives and routes! !*roll-laugh*!
